We have visited most of the places listed below and recommend them as clean, safe, and ranging
 from unique to the usual box motel.  There are many inns, hotels, and motels in Chattanooga, TN--20 miles north.
A nearby GA state park, Cloudland Canyon on Lookout Mountain, has cabins for rent.
 And there are cozy inns 15 miles south at Mentone, Alabama.

For Split Tree guests, the Key West Inn has special rates of $45+tax/couple/night for 2 beds for 1 or 2 and $47+tax for one king size, 1 or 2, by advance
reservation.  Ask for this Split Tree rate.  Located several miles just north of LaFayette on Rt. 27 near Rt. 136 intersection.  AARP, AAA, etc.

 The new Day's Inn, with breakfast included and free internet, is located next to Key West Inn, LaFayette  (706) 639-9362.
We have a special price with this motel at a per couple rate for kingsize bed of $45.00 plus tax per night; $50+tax for two queen size beds.
Mention the Split Tree discount rate and if necessary ask for manager Jay Patel.

New Dawn BnB  (a clean ranch house  w/sleeping cabins 5 miles south of Split Tree on West Cove Rd, in the middle of scenic McLemore Cove).
