Note:  I have a version, purchased in Vienna, Austria in 1998, of this figurine in rougher cast with a small cylinder on the back, which might have been used for a flower -- a rose maybe? -- at the dinner table.  From the direction of the woman's swirling dress, this would appear to be a fast tempo turn to the man's left.   I would like information on this work if anyone knows about it history, creator, and period dance style.   Sid Hetzler, Split Tree Farm     March 20, 2003 (updated May 5, 2004)
